Without a doubt, stamps (and all items pertaining to) are one of the hardest things to figure for shipping. We presently are at Marketworks, which uses the USPS Online Rate Calculation for Domestic and Foreign parcels and it always overestimates the amount to be charged.
Our main object is to charge the exact amount due, without a handling or special charge. But unfortunately there is no such automatic solution.
As most of our customers know, we are not in the business of making money on shipping. Actual costs are our goal. Therefore, we shall continue to do so, by ignoring the amount of postage that is declared on the final total when checking out. We always submit a pro-forma invoice after we have pulled your order and have charged your credit card. In the case of PAYPAL, we suggest that you submit the order without paying and we will contact you with the correct amount stated on a pro-forma invoice.
